  1. This is just not fair! This video makes me wonder though. Is a child's neuroplasticity more adaptive and quick than an adults because of the nature of his/her age? Or, is it simply because as adults we tend to create preconceptions of our abilities and limitations and thus don't allow ourselves mentally to strive to learn new things such as the piano?

  2. Um this is amazing. This reminds me of when we talked about the Sea Gypsies. It seems like in our culture we limit or assume what we do because of what we believe we have the capabilities to do. Like how a parent says oh they are not old enough for that, or coordinated enough yet. This little girl is pretty inspiring.

  3. What strikes me is how much movement there is in her body, how it ripples out from her core. You can see her core move, then her shoulders, hands, and head.

She, too, had to practice. I wonder how much she wants to play the piano, and how much pressure is put on her from outside sources to 'do the thing she's good at.' Examples like this always bring that up for me: with children, who is the motivator for what time is spent on? How does someone with such incredible 'talent' relate to other kids their age? How do they grow up and relate to other people who find their 'skills' (or not) at a later age?
