What a powerful segment. I couldn't agree with Sirken Robinson more that intelligence comes in a multitude of forms. The concept that our school systems today have "minded our minds....for a particular commodity" is the main reason why I chose to apply to Fairhaven. As a college student, I do get the feeling that which major I choose doesn't matter anymore, but at Fairhaven, I feel that I am able to study and live what I love. The piece about the young girl who discovered her love for dance really touched me. I came to singing because my parents found that my over excessive amounts of energy as a child was best channeled through musical theatre.
